Terms of Service

These terms are the rules for using Home Finances. By creating an account you agree to them.

1. 1. The service

   • Home Finances is a personal bookkeeping app: you record accounts, income, spending, bills and budgets, and see totals and reports.
   • It is a private, non-commercial project run by its administrator.

2. 2. Your account

   • Register with an email address you control: password resets are sent there.
   • Keep your password to yourself. An account is meant for one person.
   • You are responsible for what happens under your account.

3. 3. Price

   • The service is free. There are no paid plans, subscriptions or hidden fees.
   • If that ever changes, these terms will be updated before it does.

4. 4. Your data

   • Everything you enter remains yours. It is used only to run the app for you, as described in the Privacy Policy.
   • You decide what to enter and are responsible for its accuracy.

5. 5. What is not allowed

   • Trying to access other people's accounts or data.
   • Attacking, overloading or probing the service, or sending automated requests in bulk.
   • Using the service to break the law.

6. 6. Not financial advice

   • The app shows what you entered and calculates totals from it. It does not give financial, tax or investment advice.
   • Exchange rates come from a public source, and totals in your primary currency are estimates — check official figures before relying on them.

7. 7. Availability

   • The service is provided as is. We do our best to keep it running but don't promise that it will always be available or free of errors.
   • Features may change, and the service may be suspended or closed. Keep your own copies of anything important — reports can be exported as CSV.

8. 8. Liability

   • To the extent the law allows, the administrator is not liable for losses arising from the use of the service, from decisions made on the basis of its figures, or from loss of data.

9. 9. Ending use

   • You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time in Settings.
   • An account that breaks these terms may be restricted or deleted.

10. 10. Changes to these terms

    • When these terms change, this page is updated and the date at the top changes with it. If you keep using the service after a change, the new terms apply.
